Aunjanue E. Taylor Aunjanue E. Taylor, an American stage actress and producer, is known for playing in the film Ray Undercover Brother as well as on The Mentalist. She earned the B.A. in African-American Studies, from Brown University. Her MFA is in acting at Tisch School at New York University. Aunjanue Lisa Ellis is an actor, writer and American actor active in the theatre as well as television and film. Her career began as an actress in theatre and then went on to be a part of numerous television series, mainstream and independent films. Her most well-known role was Miranda Shaw, a character on ABC's Quantico. In BET's amazing show The Book of Negroes she played the role of Ariel. She did not only receive critical acclaim for her role but was also awarded and nominations. Her debut on stage as Ariel as Ariel on the stage in The Tempest. The credits on stage include Come and Gone Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis, a Broadway production by Joe Turner. Her most well-known work is her work in Men of Honor, The Caveman's Valentine The Express & The Help. She is also well-known for her part in ABC's crime drama High Incident.
