Kristen Anne Bell (born 1980) is an American actress and singer. Her parents include Tom Bell and Lorelei Frygier and both are television news directors. Her family was from Huntington Woods Michigan. Kristen was born in Michigan's Huntington Woods, to an Polish mother and father who has a mix of German, English Irish, Scottish as well as Irish. Kristen's passion for acting was discovered at a very young age. She was just 12 when she attended her first audition. She was successful and got an appearance in Raggedy Ann and Andy. Bell received an agent who was appointed by her mother prior to the age of 13 and was cast as a model on advertisements on television and newspapers. Also, Bell began taking classes in acting privately. Bell was a character who did not have a credit on Polish Wedding (1998), a film released in 1998. Bell attended Shrine Catholic High School, which was where she participated in drama and music club. She was a part of Dorothy in the school production in The Wizard of Oz. Bell then moved into New York City, to the Tisch School of the Arts. She studied musical theater there. Bell left the school in 2001, when she was cast in the role Becky for Tom Sawyer. In the same year, she starred in Pootie Tang However, the scene where she made an appearance was cut. As a result, there is only a credit sequence. Bell appeared together with Angela Bettis and Liam Neeson in 2002's Broadway revival of The Crucible.
